Do as I Say, Not as I Do

Friday’s confession…

I need to practice what I preach. Between blowing the budget on Miles’ birthday party, the dog needing emergency surgery and one of the air-conditioning units in my house only working when it feels like it I’ve been living in denial and have managed to avoid looking at my checking account the entire week.

Yes, I know better. In fact, I’ve put it in writing in my newlywed book“when it comes to money, what you don’t know can hurt you.” Yikes! What’s that saying? “Do as I say, not as I do.”

How about you? Do you ever live in denial? Imperfect people want to know…

Winks & Smiles,
Wifey

Oh yes, you know I do. My imperfections are many and you've read a lot of them. LOL. Hey, would you mind shooting me an e-mail at becomingme@live.com. I have an idea for your newlywed book. It may sound off left field because it isn't very funny, but it's something that has been on my heart for a while, and I'd be willing to share my story with you if you think it may be a benefit to others.

You too? When we came back from picking up our son after his first year at the University in NY, we came back to find that our home Air Conditioner had given up and died. Sorry to hear about your making trouble because they are a real pain and expensive to replace. The air conditioner was new with the house but that was almost 15 years ago, so I guess we got our money's worth from it, but still you know? The new air conditioner has a very good seer rating, and we are very happy with it.

Best wishes.

The A/C man is coming today - yikes! It's supposed to be 96 degrees. Thanks for the best wishes, I'm going to need them! Smiles!

Unfortunately I do that sometimes too.

I'm such an evader (don't tell Restless Hubs) when it comes to our finances. I'm assuming that would not be the case if we made more than we spend! Some day....
