The Cleaning Fairy

Friday’s confession…

There was a little part of me that really hoped if I put my Swiffer duster under my pillow last night that the cleaning fairy would come while I was sleeping.

Ha. A girl can dream can’t she?

It’s cleaning day at Wifey’s house and no matter how much I’d like to believe the house will miraculously clean itself, it’s time to roll up my sleeves and get started.

How about you? Has the cleaning fairy ever visited your house? If you see her please let her know I’ve got a big old jug of Simple Green with her name on it, waiting patiently for her.

Winks & Smiles,
Wifey

I need to do a little(ok a lot) of that today too!

It should help me redeem myself from all the time I spent on the computer this week ;)

I want a cleaning fairy who can clean AND pick up everything and know right where it goes :)...I think that may be...me. Off to work!

Good Luck!

Too funny. I know, I'm in denial, my family thinks that I am the cleaning fairy. Smiles!

HA!! PLEASE send this cleaning fairy my way, because everyday is cleaning day here! If I don't, we would be buried under a pile o' crapola. I'm serious, 4 girls, a hubby, and now 2 dogs (one that still pees and poos everywhere when she's not chewing on everything in sight). And still, with all the cleaning, it seems to only be damage control. ::SIGH::

If I find her, Corinne, I'll send her your way! Smiles!

Cleaning day? What's that?

Why can't those fairies just get their numbers in our phone books?

I just finished reading your book and I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed it. You have some excellent advice in there. I thought that your money advice and the 4Cs were especially insightful. Your book was very thoughtfully and honestly written, and I will definitely be passing it along should anyone I know get married anytime soon!

It also had a very nice side effect of making me greatful for my husband, relationship, and marriage. When you described some of the typical pitfalls of marriage (stress over the wedding, newlywed jitters, marriage changing your relationship, post-wedding blues)it made me SO HAPPY that we didn't do anything traditional! My husband and I were together 4 1/2 years (3 of which we lived together) before we eloped and had a small ceremony in the park with just our parents after which we went to TGIFs and had pie. The only thing our wedding changed was the amount of gas in our gas tank, our afternoon plans, and my last name. I always felt that was the right decision for us, but after reading what some women go through after getting married I know it for sure!

I don't think even the traditional people should worry though-your book walks them through it nicely. Congrats on writing such a good book.

Thanks, Person(also known as mommy)! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the book and most importantly that you got something out of it.

I'm also glad to hear that you and your husband didn't go through some of the common pitfalls that newlyweds do! Reading your blog and your comments - I'm not surprised! Smiles!

Every couple is different and goes through different challenges at different stages of their relationship. It was written in a format so that people will be able to read and pull from different parts of the book as it applies to them. My goal is to be helpful, insightful and provide a little humor along the way.

Again, I'm glad to hear that you liked it and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Smiles,
Wifey
