Riding home from Miles’ team pizza party last night I told little girl that she had to go first in the bath. She replied…
“Why can’t we flip a coin and then I can say ‘heads’ and we can see who goes first from there?”
“Because it would be helpful to mommy if you just went first tonight.”
“But mama, it’s NOT Mother’s Day!”

Sometimes kids make it hard for us to REASON with them!
I have turned into my mom on more than one occasion by quoting her ever present, "BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!".
Since I have older kids also, I have resorted to the, "THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY, ITS A DICTATORSHIP!!!" line with them.

I love it! Very logical argument she gave there. lol. She's a smarty - Good job mommy, even if you are left in open mouthed shock, you still have to pat yourself on the back for raising a smart child.:)
