Wow. The past few days have been a bit of a whirlwind.
It started on Friday night when Miles had a T-ball game. After that we went out to Taco Mac (Husband and Miles’ favorite wings spot) to celebrate winning the game and that Miles is on the Principal’s List this quarter at school. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I wasn’t cooking dinner that night – ahem – really.
Saturday morning, Milan had to be at her dance school for recital rehearsal from 9 a.m. to noon. We scooped her up at 12 p.m. and headed straight to the park for yet another T-ball game. Did I mention it was raining? Yes, they made them play in the rain. It was a light rain, but it was raining none the less. From there, I darted off to my game – or match to be more accurate. My tennis team made the playoffs and round one was this past Saturday. We all played great, but my team didn’t win enough matches to move on. But… at least the sun came out. From there we headed home, freshened up, and then Husband and I hurried out the door to catch a 7:30 p.m. movie – Iron Man. It was the bomb – no pun intended.
Sunday was just as busy. It was Atlanta Braves day for Miles’ baseball park, so all of the teams got to parade around the field just before the Braves played. It was Miles’ first time going to a professional baseball game and he absolutely loved it. Husband, Milan, my dad and my mother-in-law also came out for the fun. Milan had a ball, although she cared less about the baseball game and more about the pretzels, cotton candy and icees. It was an exciting and very expensive day. We had to have spent at least the entire week’s grocery budget in one day, but I won’t go there… that’s another whole post.

We were at the game all day then took Miles to his first football practice. The season doesn’t officially start until August, but the team has started doing conditioning exercises every other Sunday. That, too, is another story that I’m sure I’ll post about – soon! We ended up home around 8:00 p.m. – the kids’ bedtime – and didn’t get everyone fed, bathed and tucked into bed until around 9:30 p.m. I don’t think I made it past 9:35 p.m.
I never thought I would look forward to a Monday morning. Whew. Am I the only one who needs a weekend to recover from my weekend?

Oh no, you are not the only one who needs a week to recover from your weekend.
BTW- that picture of your daughter waving down the cotton candy man is so cute. That is a girl who needs her cotton candy!
I understand. I conned my mom into taking the big guy to school in the morning for that reason.
